“We Pray and Play the Claretian Family Way” was the resounding theme of the Grade 7 and 8 Family Day. Held last March 2, the event commenced with the Holy Eucharist presided by Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep, CMF, the School Director. Inspired by the Gospel text on the “Prodigal Son,” Fr. Mau emphasized the important dynamics of loving especially in the family. He stressed that enduring love calls everyone to let go, to patiently wait, and to generously embrace one another.

After the mass, the fun-filled afternoon began among the family day attendees with the opening remarks of Mrs. Razerly Ibañez, the School Principal.

The games were short but exciting, featuring multiple-choice questions and “jack en poy”. There were plenty of raffle prizes, and the loot bags filled with goodies added to the thrill of the day. The Grade 7 band played while everyone sang along, while the Grade 8 boys danced to the beat. The crowd went crazy as some of the parents grooved to TikTok songs. Finally, the families enjoyed human and traditional bingo, with many students experiencing the joy of this classic game for the first time. Outside the Gallardo Hall, the school grounds were bustling with a variety of booths offering delectable meals and engaging toys for the boys in Grades 7 and 8.

The entire affair ended with high spirits, reminding everyone to foster unity while praying and playing together as a Claretian family. #ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
