Grade 6 Batch 2022-2023 showed its appreciation and gratitude to their families, the entire Claretian community, and to God through the Pasasalamat program held on April 1, 2023.

The program started with a meaningful message from Mrs. Razerly D. Ibañez, the Principal. She congratulated the batch for overcoming the challenges and difficulties they encountered during the Online Distance Learning within the past two school years and for adapting to the current school set up this year. She also conveyed her appreciation to the Claret School Parent-Teacher Association and to the parents for accompanying their children during their life-long learning. Lastly, she thanked the Grade 6 advisers, teachers, and personnel who have been with them in their formative years as well as those who helped in the preparation of the Pasasalamat program.

Each section prepared a heartfelt performance thanking the people who guided them in their grade school years. Grade 6-Our Lady of the Annunciation thanked the Claret personnel such as the guidance facilitators, librarians, nurses, doctors, and janitors. Grade 6-Mary, Mother of God students showed their appreciation to their classmates and friends for the bond and memories that they made together. Grade 6-Immaculate Conception students showed how grateful they are to their teachers through a poem recitation, an audio-visual presentation, and a song and dance performance. Families were honored by Grade 6-Our Lady of Assumption students with their original lyrics--singing and dancing to the tune of Enchanted. The section presentations ended with a skit, dance, and song presentation rendered by Grade 6-Our Lady of the Visitation thanking God for all the blessings they have received.

After the presentations,  a turnover ceremony by the CBS representatives and class officers was held. This was followed by the Pasasalamat song where students sang “Grateful” by Rita Ora. They surprised their parents and families by giving them roses and reading letters thanking them for all their love, support, and sacrifices.

Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep, CMF, blessed the Grade 6 batch and delivered a message for them and their families. He emphasized the importance of rising in the morning and ending the day with gratitude and of discovering the blessing in every moment. He also reminded the students that as they are blessed every moment, their blessings should be shared through a life of service and mission.

After the program, the Parent-Teacher Association facilitated the Family Day activities. Students enjoyed playing with their classmates and families. They listened to the De Ramon brothers for their special song numbers. Parents also surprised their kids by dancing “Bongga Ka ‘day.” Students looked forward to winning prizes such as basketballs, fans, speaker, aquarium, and cellphone among others.

As part of giving back to the community, the PTA also conducted an outreach activity to the janitors and security guards. They were given grocery packages donated by Grade 6 families.
