Building on the success of its partnership with Claret School of Maluso, the Habikasan Project of Claret School of Quezon City (CSQC) has further strengthened its commitment to environmental education and community engagement through the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Claret School of Tumahubong (CST). This partnership marks the beginning of a three-year collaborative effort aimed at promoting sustainability, ecological awareness, and youth empowerment.

The MOU signing ceremony, held at Claret School of Tumahubong, brought together CST’s school administrators, and CSQC’s Faith Education and Enrichment Team (FEET). The event symbolized a shared vision of fostering environmental stewardship among the students while integrating sustainable practices into the school community.

The partnership follows the positive outcomes of the Habikasan Project’s earlier collaboration with Claret School of Maluso, where various environmental programs and student-led initiatives of the Environmental Awareness Club contributed to increased awareness and active participation in sustainability efforts.

Under the new agreement, both parties commit to implementing a series of initiatives from 2026 to 2029, promote environmental awareness and ecological responsibility among students and school communities, encourage sustainable environmental practices and ecological initiatives, strengthen solidarity and collaboration among Claretian educational institutions, share knowledge, resources, and best practices in implementing environmental initiatives, and provide opportunities for students to engage in meaningful ecological and social action programs. Monitoring and evaluation mechanisms will also be established to track progress and ensure the sustainability of the programs.
Over the next three years, CSQC’s Gardening Club (JHS) and Environmental Awareness Club (SHS) will initiate a collaborative project with the Student Servant Leaders of Claret School of Tumahubong. The collaboration is expected to produce student-led initiatives, environmental campaigns, and capacity-building activities that will benefit not only the school but also the surrounding community.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks a meaningful step forward in building a greener and more resilient future. As the Habikasan Project under the Red Goes Green Program of the Association of Claret Schools of the Philippines Inc. (ACSPI) continues to grow its network of partner schools, it reinforces its mission of building a more sustainable and resilient future through education and collective action. #ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
