From February 21 to March 14, two Claretian teams under the ABM and HUMSS strands engaged in meaningful discussions and a case competition on the agriculture issues plaguing the country at the Development Economics Conference of the Ateneo (DECA)2026: SAGANA. The event consisted of two online sessions, followed by two days held onsite. On the first onsite day, participants listened to a talk by Ms. Ma. Bigonia “Mabi” David-Balangue and Mr. Terence Krishna Lopez on the importance of food sovereignty in our country. On the second day, participants were tasked to create a case presentation to solve the inefficiency in onion production in Nueva Ecija.

The CSQC student participants were:
Team A: Marc Edward Bamba, Clarence Koby Basco, Wesley Ericson Martinez, John Denver Mendoza, and Juan Enrico Luiz Obias
Team B: Julian Francis Ayalin, Nathan Mark Cruz, Kirk Patrick Longjas, Hassette Rajan Moreno, and Yuri Samson

The students brought honor to the school with CSQC Team A bringing home the Bronze Award in the case competition.

Before the event, the Claretians also took the DECA Exam which tackled topics of macroeconomics, microeconomics, and finance. John Denver Mendoza from Team A received the Best in Finance Award for the exam.
