The Claret School of Quezon City Junior High School came together in a celebration of talent, service, and achievement during the Club and Organization Awards Day held recently on April 25, 2025 at the Gallardo Hall.

The ceremony began with an opening prayer led by Juan Manuel P. Calilung of 7-Eugenio Herran Pedrosa, CMF. This was followed by an inspiring message from Principal Razerly D. Ibañez, MAEd., who congratulated the student body for their commitment and contribution to the Claretian spirit this school year.

 

 

Part of the event was the awarding of certificates of participation and the announcement of winners in the Music Fest 2025. Applause filled the venue as Muzeos, a band composed of Grade 9 students, was declared winner in the band category.

 

 

Students from various extracurricular organizations were also given recognition for their active involvement and leadership. These included members of the Central Board of Students, Tanglaw ng Claret, Claret Vocal Ensemble, and the Claret Liturgical Team, each of whom played vital roles in shaping school culture and events throughout the year.

 

 

Members of the Academic Program of Excellence were also honored for their exceptional performance in English, Math, Science, and Robotics—academic fields that continue to be sources of Claretian pride.

 

 

Furthermore, the school proudly recognized members of the sports varsity teams and Claretians who brought honor to CSQC through their victories in external competitions. The football varsity team received commendations for multiple achievements:

Champion and 2nd Runner-Up, Blueguards Cup (Ateneo de Manila University)
2nd Runner-up, 3rd Lakan Cup (Bulacan Sports Complex)
1st Runner-up, 2nd Phase RIFA Plate Division
3rd Runner-up, 1st Phase RIFA First Division
 
 

 

The volleyball varsity team was likewise recognized for emerging Champion in the Volleyball AAPS District 4.

 

 

Individual excellence was also spotlighted. Julio Yñigo A. Naredo of 9-Rhoel Gallardo, CMF, brought home the Gold Medal in lawn tennis at the DepEd NCR Division Meet. In Taekwondo, Mikle Roman N. Flores of 10-St. Ignatius of Loyola earned bronze medals in the Secondary Pair and Team Events at NCR Palaro, while Jose Javier H. Mella of 10-St. Vincent de Paul secured a silver medal in the Secondary Male Individual category and a bronze medal in the Men's Team Event.

 

 

The event also featured intermission numbers and a talent showcase, energizing the audience.

 

 

A much-awaited moment was the awarding of best in club in grades 7-8 and 9-10, recognizing students who went above and beyond in their respective clubs.

 

 

The program concluded with a closing prayer led by Noa Matthew P. Macapinlac of 9-Faustino Perez, CMF, followed by the singing of the Claret March.

The JHS Club and Organization Awards Day was more than just a ceremony; it was a testament to the vibrancy, excellence, and heart of every Claretian. Indeed, the future remains bright with students who lead, serve, and excel with passion. #ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
