As a Catholic community, the CSQC held its first community mass on the Feast of the Lord’s Transfiguration last August 6, 2021. Using the online platform, the said Eucharistic Celebration also ushered the montly First Friday Mass (Primo Venerdi) celebrations.

Fr. Mauricio Ulep, CMF presided the liturgy together with other Claretian Missionaries who are working closely with the School—Fr. Julius Coching, CMF, Fr. Amador Tumbaga, CMF and Fr. Dennis Tamayo, CMF.

In his homily, Fr. Mau invited the whole community to behold Jesus in the Transfiguration story—the Lord Jesus who leads, who reveals Himself, and who remains with them. As a necessary response to the Lord, the community is called to follow Jesus with openness and docility, to encounter Him constantly especially in dialogues, and to live with one another in the spirit of accompaniment.

In seeking the Lord’s guidance and protection throughout the new school year, school personnel, parents, and students also invoked the Holy Spirit during the virtual Mass. It is hoped that with the maternal embrace of the Blessed Mother and the prayers of St. Anthony Mary Claret, the members of the school community shall find fulfillment in the tasks that they do in the school year 2021-2022.
