Claret School of Quezon City welcomed the Bishop of Cubao, Most Reverend Honesto F. Ongtioco during his pastoral visit yesterday, February 13, 2019. During his visit, the school presented its pastoral program designed after the apostolic prayer of St. Anthony Mary Claret. The Bishop also had a dialogue with the students, the faculty and staff, and the administrators. As the highlight of the pastoral visit, the Bishop presided over the Mass which was attended by groups of students and members of the administration, faculty, and staff. In his homily, he stressed the importance of Catholic education which is enriched with fundamental theological and moral principles such as formation of the heart through prayer and the responsible exercise of free will.
The pastoral visit lasted for about four hours. The Bishop was accompanied by Fr. Raymond Joseph L. Arre (the Episcopal Vicar for Catholic Education and the Superintendent of the Diocese of Cubao Education System), Fr. Steven C. Zabala (Vicar General of the Diocese), Fr. Victor Angelo Parlan (Head of the Center for Christian Formation), and Fr. Antonino G. Eucapor, CMF (Parish Priest of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish).
