On September 22, 2026, the Nursery and Kindergarten students celebrated International Literacy Day with excitement, creativity, and a love for stories. Adding a playful touch to the celebration, the young Claretians came to school dressed in their cozy sleepwear and wearing headpieces featuring their favorite storybook characters. The little Claretians joined their kuyas and ates in a parade around the school. They were very excited to see their parents and guests waving and cheering for them. The students enjoyed the parade and proudly showed their favorite storybook characters.
The highlight of the celebration was the Parent Storyteller. A parent storyteller was invited to each class to read a storybook and lead a fun and engaging activity for the students. The children enjoyed listening to the stories and participating in the activities.
Through this celebration, these young Claretians experienced the joy and excitement that books and stories can bring. Activities like these help children develop a love for reading at a young age and encourage them to discover new ideas, use their imagination, and enjoy learning through books.
