In celebration of the 2024 Mindanao Week of Peace, seven Claretian students from Claret School of Quezon City joined other Claretians from Claret Schools for the ACSPI Youth Peace Camp, held from November 28 to December 1. Initiated by the Association of Claret Schools in the Philippines, Inc., this peace camp gathered sixty-two delegates from Claret School of Quezon City, Claret School of Zamboanga City, Claret School of Maluso, Claret School of Tumahubong, and Claret College of Isabela. With the theme, “Young Missionaries: Called to Become Joyful Witnesses and Transformational Leaders for Peace,” the Claretian student leaders reflected together during the camp on how to be transformational leaders for peace while embodying joy in their lives.

The CSQC delegation consisted of members from the Peace Weavers Club, the Claretian Liturgical Team, and the Central Board of Students, bringing with them their leadership abilities and vibrant youthfulness. The delegation included Piolo Emmanuel B. Dela Torre, Miguel Luis B. Limson, Tobias Denzel S. Mendoza, Noa Matthew P. Macapinlac, Yuri F. Samson, Wesley Ericson A. Martinez, and Keon Jyri V. Padua. Mr. Rowelito C. Cruz, the moderator for both the Claretian Liturgical Team and the Peace Weavers Club, accompanied these students.

Through the collaboration of the overall chairman of the Youth Peace Camp and PEACEtival of Learning, Fr. Dante Boringgot, CMF, along with the Claret School of Quezon City’s Faith Education and Enrichment Department as part of the Secretariat Committee, the four-day Youth Peace Camp inspired Claretian youth to continue their mission as joyful witnesses and agents of peace amid diversity and challenging social realities.
