Claret School of Quezon City (CSQC) officially opened the new school year with its annual Personnel Convocation, held at Gallardo Hall and attended by the entire school community.
The event began with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Amador C. Tumbaga, CMF, Provincial Superior of the Claretian Missionaries of the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province. Concelebrating with him were Fr. Victor F. Sadaya, CMF, PhD, Fr. Julius Jose A. Coching, CMF, Fr. Jeffrey C. Rasay, CMF, and former School Director Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep, CMF.
In his homily, Fr. Tumbaga challenged all school personnel to become living witnesses of the Claretian identity. He emphasized the importance of creating stories and narratives that reflect not only academic excellence but also deep-rooted virtue—stories that people will remember and that will serve as reminders of God's presence and love. He said that CSQC must be a place where stories of excellence and integrity are born, as everyone strives each day to live out the values that define the school.
Fr. Amador Tumbaga also facilitated the ceremonial passover of the mace, symbolizing the formal transition of leadership from the former School Director, Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep, CMF, to the newly appointed Director, Fr. Victor F. Sadaya, CMF, PhD.
Following the Mass, the faculty and staff for School Year 2025–2026 were formally introduced. The school also welcomed its new Education Mission Team (EMT), who will guide CSQC in its mission of forming students through holistic education grounded in Claretian spirituality and Christian values.
The new EMT is composed of:
- Fr. Victor F. Sadaya, CMF, PhD – School Director
- Mrs. Evelyn B. Angeles – School Principal
- Fr. Julius Jose A. Coching, CMF – Head of Institutional Stewardship and Administrative Services
- Fr. Jeffrey C. Rasay, CMF – Head of Mission and Identity
In his message, Fr. Sadaya expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the CSQC community. He encouraged all personnel to embrace their roles with commitment and heart, reminding them of the school’s guiding principle: Scientia Maxime cum Virtute — “Knowledge is best with virtue.” He emphasized that the mission entrusted to each member of the school is not only a responsibility but a calling to form people.
The convocation concluded with a simple agape, where faculty and staff shared a meal, exchanged stories, and enjoyed each other’s company.
As CSQC embarks on another school year, this unique convocation continues to serve as a meaningful reminder of everyone’s vocation: to form individuals who are not only excellent but also virtuous — practicing compassion, humility, empowerment, respect for life, and service. ScientiaMaximeCumVirtute
