After two years of online formation activities, the first face-to-face encounter was experienced by the Grade 12 St. Peter students during their Parent and Child retreat held last September 2-3, 2022 at the Claret Retreat House in Sanville Subdivision, Quezon City.

With the accompaniment of the retreat facilitators, the students were provided ample time for personal reflections, group sharing, prayers, and celebration of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist on the first day. The students spent the second day with an in-depth encounter and dialogue with their parents who graced the retreat. Fr. Mauricio Ulep, CMF, the School Director, was also present to preside the culminating Eucharistic celebration.

Spearheaded by the Faith Education and Enrichment Department (FEED), the said formation activity was conducted with the help of two Claretian scholastics, the homeroom adviser, and the Student Affairs and Formation Coordinator. The Spiritual Director, Fr. Charles Jocris Mortela, CMF, and the FEED Coordinator, Fr. Wigbert Papa, CMF, were also present to lead the students especially in the celebration of the sacraments. Together with the observance of health protocols, one of the school nurses was also present to ensure the safety of the participants.

Indeed, the onsite conduct of Parent and Child Retreat and other formation activities brought back key community dynamics which are fundamental in the life and identity of the Claretians. Such formation program under the FEED always makes an impact in the development of the Claretian students.
