The Alumni Silver Jubilarians held their grand “Going Back, Giving Back” Program last October 15, 2022 at the School’s AVR. This was a culmination of what was started by the Alumni Batch ’93 (GS) and Batch
’97 (HS) in 2017 when Claret School of Quezon City celebrated its Golden Jubilee.

The first beneficiaries of the said alumni outreach program were
the CSQC maintenance personnel in 2017. The following year, 2018, the non-teaching personnel of CSQC were recipients of the said program. A fund-campaign was done in 2019.

Notwithstanding the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the batch was able to give PPEs at the beginning of the pandemic and donations to victims of natural calamities in 2020-2022. In December 2021, they also reached out to 10 children and their families from the communities under the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and donated to the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Scholarship Foundation.

The recipients of this year’s grand program were 100 children from the different communities under the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish who were accompanied by the community leaders. Prior to the distribution of back packs and groceries, doctors and nurses from the batch facilitated brief talks on proper oral hygiene, jaworthopedics, proper handwashing and hygiene protocols which could be helpful to the kids. Part of the day’s program were messages from Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep, CMF, Fr. Wigbert Papa, CMF, Mr. Rodelio Santos and Mr. Lawrence Laureta.

After the outreach activity, a salu-salo with the sponsor batches was held which was highlighted by the turnover ceremony of Batch’97 to Batch’98.

A representative of Batch ’98 gladly accepted the challenge as they will be the Silver Jubilarians in 2023.
