As the school and the home venture into unchartered waters in the education journey of students this school year, the partnership that has been established between CSQC and the parents of Claretian students continues through the Claret School Parents-Teachers Association (CSPTA).

The first ever virtual general assembly of the CSPTA was held last September 5, 2020 through MS Teams Live Event. The said assembly started with the celebration of Thanksgiving Mass presided by Fr. Dante Boringgot, CMF. In the said online mass held at the Heart of Mary Garden Chapel in Claret School of Zamboanga City, Fr. Dante emphasized the importance of having a thankful, trusting, and a loving heart.

Immediately after the Mass, the assembly proper followed with the welcome remarks of Mrs. Pilipina Banayat, the CSPTA Director of General Assembly. The CSPTA Treasurer, Mr. Ricardo Cunanan, reported on the association’s finances with the spirit of gratitude to all the parents who helped in the various projects, activities, and financial aid initiated and sponsored by the CSPTA which included among others the “Go-Bag and Hard Hat Project” and the “Medical Outreach to the Claretian Seminarians”.

With the President’s Report, a comprehensive exposition of different activities in accord to the association’s objectives and goals set last school year was presented by Mrs. Joy Tayamen.

To cap the activity, Fr. Mauricio Ulep, CMF, the School Director gave his message to the parents and personnel. In his message, Fr. Mau highlighted the importance of strengthening meaningful collaboration and relationship and maintaining a healthy and dynamic dialogue between and among parents, teachers, staff and administrators “to offer better accompaniment for every Claretian student in the distance learning modality and make the CODE (Claret Operative Distance Education) really efficient in the growth and development of each learner.” Before ending his message. Fr. Mau asked the current composition of the CSPTA Board to continue their service as officers and members of the Board for SY 2020-2021. He also took the chance to thank all parents for their continued trust and confidence in the Claretian Education and Formation as he expressed, “Our mission as Claretian Missionaries continues with you—zealous as ever, dauntless to the end.”
