Upholding “Five Languages of Love” as the theme, the Central Board of Students (CBS) together with the Samahang Barangayette ng Claret (SBC) prepared meaningful activities for all Claretian teachers last October 4, 2019.

The World Teachers’ Day Celebration started with a Red Carpet Walk for the teachers as they entered the School gate. This was followed by heartfelt messages from the CBS and SBC officers. After the morning rituals, each class prepared a program and a simple gathering for their respective teachers.

As part of the celebration, student-assistants helped facilitate classes during the day. Some students were also designated to assist in some particular offices.

The day’s thanksgiving for the gift of teachers culminated with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist which was presided by the Provincial Superior, Fr. Elias L. Ayuban Jr. , CMF, and concelebrated by Fr. Mauricio Ulep, CMF, Fr. Santiago Gonzales, CMF and Fr. Efren Limpo, CMF. A simple program prepared by the student leaders immediately followed. Mrs. Dolores Garcia, a retired CSQC teacher shared on the relevance of celebrating World Teachers’ Day.

As a surprise, Mr. Jason Dy serenaded the teachers and select students entertained the teachers with their talents. The said program was hosted by alumnus, Mr. Jules Guiang. Further, simple tokens were given to the teachers and early dinner was served.

The institutional celebration of World Teachers Day at CSQC was indeed a fitting occasion to gratefully acknowledge the teachers for their mission of forming the young Claretians in knowledge and virtue.
