On September 9-10, 2019, the five (5) member-schools of the Association of Claret Schools in the Philippines, Inc. gathered for the annual assembly in Zamboanga City. Hosted by Claret School of Zamboanga City, the said assembly was guided by the theme “Prophetic Life and Mission in the Peripheries” as the schools are being redirected according to the thrusts of the XV Provincial Chapter Declaration of the Claretian Missionaries in the Philippine Province.

Twenty-six delegates from among the school administrators of ACSPI gathered to reflect on the call for Mission and Service to the Word. Among those in the assembly were Fr. Larry Miranda, CMF, the Provincial Prefect of Apostolate and Fr. Martin Ele, CMF, the Provincial Prefect of Youth and Vocation Ministry who proposed concrete challenges for the Claretian schools to seriously consider in their individual school programs and inter-school activities.

With the leadership of the Chairperson of the Commission on Claretian Education, Fr. Mauricio Ulep, CMF and in collaboration with the ACSPI President for 2019, Fr. Christopher Ligason, CMF, and the ACSPI Secretariat, the 2-day assembly was able to revisit some previous commitments and crafted new resolutions with greater dynamism to pursue concrete action plans through collaborative work in the education ministry according to the Claretian missionary spirit.
