The beginning of a new academic year is always a time of renewed energy, excitement, and optimism. With the celebration of the Mass of the Holy Spirit last June 21, the CSQC community invoked God’s grace to abide with everyone. The masses were officiated by Fr. Santiago G. Gonzalez, CMF, the Finance Administrator and by Fr. Efren L. Limpo , CMF, the new Spiritual Director.

During the mass for the intermediate level (Grades 4-6), Fr. Gonzalez mentioned in his homily that the Holy Spirit is compared to water or moist which sustains and gives life for the growth of the plants. In our life as Christians we are also sustained through the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit which are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. Just as the plants grow and bear fruit, we will also grow in our faith and bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our daily Christian life.

Last June 25, Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep, CMF, the School Director, celebrated the liturgical service for the students from the Child Study Center and from Grades 1-3. In his homily, Fr. Mau said that for them to be more joyful, they should remain in the spirit of prayer and live in a culture of peace which the Holy Spirit directs them to embrace.
