One of the most awaited events in the High School Unit, the Family Day, took place last March 2, 2019. The day began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the Auditorium which was presided by Rev. Fr. Mauricio T. Ulep, CMF, the School Director. His message emphasized the value of being grateful for one’s family and loved ones.

One of the highlights of the event was the PTA Raffle Draw where a Grand Prize worth One Hundred Thousand Pesos was awarded to the lucky winner. Another fun-filled activity among the fun and games that night was the school-wide game of Jack-and-Poy which was participated in by students, parents and teachers.

For this year, the campus was filled with booths which sold various treats and delicacies. The families of HS Batches R, S, T, U, V, and W colored the campus grounds as the students wore their originally designed batch shirts with their corresponding batch color. The Best Batch Shirt was awarded after a short fashion show where representatives of the batches paraded to present their batch designs.

As night fell on Quezon City, the attendees feasted on the salu-salo dinner with their families. Entertainment for the night included a performance from one of the most popular OPM bands, Imago. Afterwards, other Claretian acts like the band Catharsis, and teachers from the different HS Grade Levels showcased their talents for the hundreds of attendees during that night.

Memories were made as Claretians bonded with their families and friends, strengthening the Claretian spirit within the entire community. “Mas Kwela Kung Sama Sama ang Pamilya” showed that the family is one of the greatest sources of joy there is. The Family Day was all about being ONE in FAITH, FUN and LOVE. On that day, everyone went home with that sense of renewed ONENESS as a member of the CLARETIAN FAMILY!
